Eligibility Services
Accurately entering and maintaining the eligibility records of employees is the first step in protecting the plan from incorrectly paying claim benefits.
Our Membership Accounting Services (MAS) Department processes all premium billing, COBRA administration, HIPAA certification issuance, ID card issuance, Employer Form 5500, and Broker Commission Processing (see links in right column for more details)
Eligibility Files
CNIC maintains eligibility files including coverage status and rates on our automated system. CNIC audits and enters all eligibility data within two days of receipt.Electronic eligibility transmission is an option for employers.
Billing
Our system allows us to simplify complex billing and compliance requirements in order to meet your needs. We can also send your billing electronically, if you wish.
COBRA
COBRA coordination is handled by our Membership Accounting Services (MAS) team. We provide full-service to eligible participants, including qualifying event processing, response processing and tracking, enrollment processing, premium billing and collection, tracking eligibility, and grace period monitoring.
HIPAA
CNIC's HIPAA services include preparation and distribution of HIPAA certificates. We also accept, verify, and apply creditable coverage.
Member Identification (ID) Cards
Identification cards are an essential part of the introduction of a new benefit administrator. CNIC provides high quality, individualized ID cards reflecting relevant benefit plan information including PPO, RX vendor, pre-certification notification, and claims submission address. The client's logo can be added to the ID card. CNIC will custom design ID cards for employers and print two ID card(s) for each covered employee (includes family members).New participant ID cards are issued to members prior to their effective date.
Plan Booklets
Plan booklets are produced in our office using industry-approved software.
Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
Member and physician EOBs are user friendly. Member EOBs reflect a "patient responsibility" section which clearly identifies charges that are the member's responsibility thereby eliminating any confusion regarding charges.
